My painting, with its poetic title, was created during the COVID-19 pandemic, in the midst of lockdown, when life across the world had come to a standstill, out of necessity. What had been taken for granted just a short time before – socialising, dining out, cultural events – was forbidden during the pandemic. It was hell.
