I painted this small picture from the balcony of a house on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice, overlooking the beach of this wonderful city on the Côte d’Azur, this little piece of paradise on earth, whose light has always fascinated and captivated artists from all over France and the world. I can understand them all, for I too have completely succumbed to the magic and beauty of the Côte d’Azur.
